FREE FRUSTRATION TOOL

Hello frustrated printer owners! A customer phoned us the other day with a sad story. His printer would not print, his computer was running slowly and nothing was working, as it should.

The upshot of this was he had a virus in his system and the computer repair man had wiped everything infected, reinstalled all the affected soft ware, but they could not find the disk to install the software for his printer. So I was asked if we had a copy of the particular printers software.

My answer was no, but I knew where he could get it from for FREE!

Yes something for FREE! I do not normally recommend shocking customers, something to do with bad relations etc. However once normality had been restored, I explained that every printer manufacturer I have come across allows you to download printer driver software for FREE from their web site, we do it all the time and it saves a lot of trouble.

Just log on to your printer manufacturers web site and look for a section headed DOWNLOADS OR TECHNICAL or similar and all will be revealed. I find it best to download onto a CD then you have a permanent copy.

I hope this tip saves some time and searching for missing installation discs.
